Valiantys is offering one free training seat to nonprofits

Earlier this year, Valiantys launched its philanthropy program called Caring for Change, which strives to balance our daily work in the business environment with meaningful work in the community. From this initiative, we are pleased to announce today that Valiantys is giving back by offering all nonprofit organizations the opportunity to send someone to one of our training sessions, free of charge.

Be the change you want to see in the world

The idea of our philanthropy program first grew during our ShipIt last year. We believe we are a great team, not only because we spend quite a lot of time working together surrounded with computer screens and the occasional cat video on YouTube, but also because we cherish opportunities to share ideas, to bring in personal projects, and to put a bit of who we are in our company. It was then natural for us to organize and help anyone to partake in our philanthropy program.

Since its launch, Caring for Change has quickly taken shape. Earlier this year, we helped with the reconstruction efforts of a school in rural Morocco, we’ve offered computers to a community center in Burkina Faso, and we’ve held an internal contest where the winner could decide their favorite charity where Valiantys would make a donation.

But when it comes to giving back to those doing good and important work, there’s always more we can do.

By nature, nonprofit organizations have limited resources to spend on internal functioning, hence we’ve been wondering how to give them a little more help. Training is a central part in using the Atlassian suite tools properly, whether it’s Jira, Confluence, Trello, etc. Without proper training, important and useful features might go under the radar and user adoption may not be optimal. Over time bad practices will creep in, which will result in a tool that is increasingly hard to use and maintain.

Starting today, nonprofit organizations can now send one person per year to a free training session to learn more about any Atlassian tool, from Jira and Confluence to Bamboo and Bitbucket.

This new program has been especially designed for registered nonprofit organizations and charities which are non-government, non-academic, non-commercial in nature, have no religious affiliation and that would not otherwise be able to afford Atlassian software. So as soon as they’re eligible for a community license from Atlassian, they are likewise entitled to one free seat at the table at one of our Valiantys courses.

So if you are working for a nonprofit yourself and want to deepen your understanding of Atlassian tools, now is the time to act!  Please don’t hesitate to contact us straight away, we’ll be more than happy to contribute towards your project!
