The biggest Atlassian ecosystem networking opportunity in the UK is coming up fast! Our annual Valiantys Enterprise Day 2017 (#VED17) in London will be held on 28 June at St Paul’s!

What is VED17 you might ask? Imagine a mini Atlassian Summit, except a little bit more close-up and personal. It’s really an unique opportunity to meet the Atlassian community. Here are the 5 reasons why VED17 completely rocks.

The people

At the core of the Atlassian ecosystem is teamwork. The most important thing – beyond even the tools and the processes – is the people. If you think of any major milestone in history, it becomes clear that teamwork is the cornerstone of human achievement.

Networking is the seed for teamwork. It allows you to meet people who are facing the same challenges and exchange know-how and new ideas. “It’s a good time to get everyone together to collaborate and find out where they could, and maybe where they should, be going in the future,” said Matthew Coughlan –  Atlassian’s Solution Partner Manager for the UK, Ireland and South Africa.

With around 150 participants, everyone gets to really meet each other within the Atlassian community. You can expect to meet other clients and JIRA and Confluence admins, Atlassian representatives and Atlassian add-on vendors. Of course, expert consultants from Valiantys will also be there to discuss any question you might have.

The themes

As an Atlassian Platinum  Solution Partner, we always have our ears and eyes on the ground concerning the topics that matter the most to you. This year, we have four breakout sessions addressing the pain-points for everyday life:

Agility: As Valiantys has offices in seven countries, we know the challenges – and more importantly the solutions – of working with Agile teams in different offices. Our certified consultant will walk you through how you can use Atlassian tools for collaboration with distributed Agile teams. Valiantys Software will also demo how our add-ons nFeed and Exocet can facilitate agile processes.

Collaboration: When it comes to collaboration, one tool should come to mind: Confluence! How should you get everyone on the same page (literally and figuratively)? Our certified consultant will discuss the best practices in managing the document approval process in Confluence. Our partner K15t will also speak on How Atlassian Does Docs.

Project Management: Let’s set goals and get organised! Our partner EazyBI will show you how to track your project’s KPIs. Our certified consultant will also discuss the best practices when it comes to Resource Management with Portfolio. Managing resources across multiple teams can be difficult, especially when individuals have different skill levels and critical information needs to be shared across teams. How can this be achieved? We’ll show you how with JIRA Portfolio!

IT Service Management: ITSM is all about providing great service for your customers – this means having an easy-to-use interface while being coordinated behind the scenes. Our partner Refined Wiki will discuss four ways that theming on JIRA Service Desk can improve the customer experience. Our certified consultant will also discuss the best practices when it comes to CMDB/Asset Management with JIRA Service Desk.

The add-on vendors

The great thing about Atlassian tools is that the possibilities for solutions are infinite thanks to Marketplace vendors and their creative add-ons. Are you looking to create custom JIRA reports? Do you need a better theming or collaboration solution for your Confluence? Chances are one of these vendors is likely to have the solution you need. Click on the vendor to browse their add-ons on the Marketplace before you meet them at VED17!

eazyBI is a powerful visualisation and analysis add-on for JIRA Server and JIRA Cloud. With eazyBI you can create custom JIRA reports, charts, and dashboards with an easy-to-use drag-and-drop interface.

K15t Software has add-ons that enhance and expand the collaboration and content management capabilities of Atlassian products.

RefinedWiki is the maker of add-ons to improve the user interface and usability of Atlassian products. Their theming solutions for Confluence and JIRA Service Desk make it easy to modernise, organise, and customise Atlassian products.

SoftwarePlant is certainly one of the top leading vendors when it comes to project management! You won’t want to miss getting an overview of their comprehensive Project Portfolio Management solutions.

Valiantys Software, we’re last on the list but certainly not the least!  We’ll be happy to talk to you about how our add-ons can assist you – from creating linked issues between JIRA and Confluence, querying data from any datasource, and more!

The tools

JIRA Software, Confluence, Bitbucket, JIRA Service Desk…these are the tools we live and breath! We’ll have clients talk about their direct experiences transitioning and using Atlassian tools. Atlassian and JFrog will also be giving featured talks during VED17  – stay tuned to our agenda to find out more as we get closer to the event!

The vibe

We could go on and on about the benefits and positivity of VED – but at this point we’d rather show you! Check out this quick video from last year to see for yourself!
